Health & Safety
We are committed to the highest Health and Safety Standards and Practices
John Austin Ltd is committed to the Agricultural industry; by making sure our machines and staff meet all health and safety requirements, and some.
“One of our highest priorities is to ensure that our staff and customers make it home safely to their loved ones at the end of the day.”
We are constantly reviewing and updating our Safety Procedures, along with ensuring our staff are regularly trained in First Aid. Regular full staff meetings are held along with department meetings to discuss any concerns or update staff with any new procedures. All our machines are equipped with First Aid Kits, Fire Extinguishers and appropriate road safety equipment.
We run an app program for our job cards and work scheduling, requiring staff to do prestart checks before each job, and notifying them of any possible hazards or safety concerns to be aware of. This app notifies and our management team of staff activity in real time and sends alerts both in an out of office to individuals when required, giving our team an extra level of security – especially if working alone.
We aim to have between 20-30 of our full-time members of staff fully trained in Emergency First Aid. As we head through 2025, we have 25 staff currently trained in First Aid by St John Ambulance.
“To ensure we are keeping up with necessary requirements, we ensure we are monitored by 3rd party agencies to check our health and safety policy and procedures.” We are currently a registered and approved PREQUAL organization.
